The excitement..

Yesterday violin class was a great one. I have been practising my violin technique for months without a correct knowledge about how to play it well. So, when the knowledge is revealed, I am just so happy to know it. Now, I already knew the exact fingerings, and the exact key featuring. It's time to play all the songs that I have been playing, beautifully..

More exciting? Yes! But I can't overlooked my dateline for revisions too~ 3 months to go.... >.<

I can say that, it is not a waste to gain knowledge about playing a violin because I learnt something meaningful from it...

My first ever class

Alhamdulillah, I just finished my first ever violin class and it was great and helpful. Previously I did practise playing the violin alone but when I came for the class, I realised that my way of playing was totally out of skill.. taha~

So, by learning the true way of playing, I think it is easier than I thought and maybe I can improve a lot by now.. ;D What I need to do next is more practice! I usually practise in the evening about 15 to 30 minutes where other people get their naps or maybe sport time..

The teachers are just so awesome violinists and they play songs so beautiful and perfect... It makes me want to reach their level faster.. I will , InshaAllah.. Hype!

Dream High

Remember my dream to play violin well? Alhamdulillah, so far at least I can play a song smoothly. And of course, some weird noises will come out from an amateur violinist's playing as me..

Previously I played lots of melancholic songs because they are easier to catch the steps and play them well than a more faster tempo song..

Then, due to complaining from my beloved sister where she quickly get bored with sad songs, I decided to play a more lively one.  What happened that, this one song really catch my ears. It's name is Dream High OST. You can listen to the violin version in the drama (Dream High) itself. I am so sure you will like it.. ;)

After searching for the music sheet, alhamdulillah.. I found it! Now what I need to do is to practise playing this song. Sincerely speaking, it is hard.. >.<  so really.. grrr...

I know that I am a slow thinker, got a slow movement, passive.. I hope, by able to play this well in future, my adrenaline is at it's most higher level up.. And my body and my mind will be more active and alert.. tee hee..

Finally, my own violin!

Alhamdulillah, I made it. I owned a violin. With it price RM200, I am satisfied. :) Although the class will start in July, which is almost 2 months more from now. I just can't hold myself to have it besides then. Since I am a girl, I will call my violin.... hurm, what eh? I hardly call my things by name.. =.= . so I just call her my violiny. Sounds weird? yea, same here~ :P

Last night, I already tried to play violiny for the second time. Better. But still, weird sounds did come out. As I also invited my room-mate to have a try, we ended up laughing through out the night. Too amateur!

Then, this morning. Although I only slept for about 4 hours, I can't top up my energy any more since my violiny is calling me again and again. :P

I tried to play again. I learnt from tutorial videos in youtube. There is a good teacher in there. I think his name is Michael. And this is his tutor website, www.violintutorpro.com. I can say that his lessons are helping me much.

I could recognised the notes now, and played 2 of the songs. One of it is " The symphony of joy " or " Ode to Joy ". A song by Beethoven. Although my play is not smooth enough and not that lovely, I will try until it is smoother. InshaAllah.

Playing violin sure will make you uncomfortable, but yet I am satisfied. Really. Today is my art's day. Violin practice and crafts making. Tomorrow will be my education's day. Study, notes making and research works.

My Violin Story

Today, at my evening time. I had a visit at a junior's room who actually I contacted before for violin class. The purpose of the visit was to look at the violin. I never knew that I would be interested to play a violin one day. Thinking about this is making me happy ever.

So, I went to her room. There was a violin in a box. She opened the box for me. I could see a small wooden made violin is in there. The first thing that I learnt was about the violin and its accessories.

The bow. Which is a thing that we hold when scrubbing the violin's strings. I was surprised when she told me this bow is made of horse tail. If you have the chance to hold a violin bow, try it. ;)

And this one is a shoulder rest. To play a violin, people always put it onto their's shoulder. The surface of the pad is made of sponge. It is soft so that our shoulder will not be in pain.

The violin itself is a very light instrument. I can hold it with my one hand and can even hold it between my shoulder and left jaw. As I have the chance to try making a sound with that violin, guess what sound did I made? Sigh. It turned out to be " greeekk.. greekk.. kokkk.. " .  Oh, I am so shy at that moment and we laughed together. She said, that was a normal result for a first try.  Relief.

I realised that, to really make a good sound out of the violin, our confident must be at the tip top. Then, I tried to be more confident. Alhamdulillah. In the second trial, it turned out to be a lovely sound, finally. I am looking forward to play it again next time.

Other than that, I also got to know how to read the violin notes. Frankly speaking, it is hard. So hard. Even harder than maths. You need a very sharp memory, and a very fast hand movement. For those who can play violin very well, I am amazed at you. 

My dream for violin diary is, I am able to play the songs that I love to hear from a violin. One of it is Selamat Pagi Cinta OST.  One day, InshaAllah.
