Since working in hospital, I heard this term so-called " Jonah " so often. The first time I heard was when I was in university era's posted in Teluk Intan.
Jonah means too many cases, new admission or unexpected event keep on happening to the same person when he/she is on shift.
For example , like this fellow " Oh my, you are so Jonah today ! Too many admissions! "
Well, at first I found it funny to hear that. Yea, because there are some specific work mates who will have so many new patients when they are on call. And we keep on unconsciously having faith on what will happen if they are on call. Wards will be full!
Ironically, things must happen for reasons. Don't they? And the only one who is in charged of all these is Allah s.w.t. He decided that today, no admission. Tomorrow, lots of them. And next days, only about 2 or 3 admissions. Right? Him and only Him. It is not because of you are not Jonah, so most likely no admission/ no critical cases or few may be in. No. This has nothing to do with us.
Hopefully, people will realize this... :) We can joke, we can laugh but some things may be connected to our faith and believe to Him. Be careful okay? ;)
